MEC Timeline

2005

Midwest Equipment started selling Broaster Equipment.

2004

Taylor releases the Crown series of high capacity, soft serve freezers; single flavor and twist, gravity and pump.

2002

Midwest Equipment Company acquires Kansas City distributor, formerly Dugan Equipment Company. With this acquisition, MEC is now the authorized distributor of Taylor, Broaster, and Flavor Burst for all of Missouri and most of Kansas. View our locations.

1999

Midwest Equipment Company moves to our current location, enlarging our showroom and parts departments to better serve our customers.

1993

The distributorship is purchased by current ownership. Since then, MEC has gone from using non-employee service agents to hiring our own service technicians including equipment installers, preventive maintenance technicians, and senior service technicians. We’ve also added several manufacturer lines including Flavor Burst, Smokaroma, and others.
